Traineeships with GrainCorp

What is a Traineeship?

Traineeships are jobs that combine work and structured training and are a great way to start a career.  As a trainee, you will enter into a formal training contract with GrainCorp, an industry leader in the Agricultural Business Sector, which leads to a nationally recognised qualification in transport and distribution.

When completing a Traineeship with GrainCorp you will be learning new skills and gaining valuable experience in the transport and distribution industry within the agricultural business sector.

Duration of Traineeship

GrainCorp offers two year Traineeships in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage).  The next intake of trainees will commence in January 2011 and applications will reopen in September 2010.

National qualifications

GrainCorp is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) which is licenced to deliver nationally recognised qualifications in Transport & Logistics (Storage & Handling).  Trainees will complete:  

Year of Traineeship

Certificate

Year 1

TLI20107 Certificate II in Transport & Logistics (Warehousing & Storage)

    

Year 2

TLI30107 Certificate III in Transport & Logistics (Warehousing & Storage) 

    

The above qualifications develop skills required to work as Grain Handlers within GrainCorp.

Training and Assessment is delivered by qualified Learning & Development Consultants    

Attendance pattern

As a trainee you will be trained through the following methods:

  • On the job training
  • Self-paced workbooks
  • One-on-One coaching and
  • Workshops

All training will take place during work hours except where the attendance of a residential workshop is required.

All trainees must be of an eligible working age.
