As a GrainCorp Graduate, you can be confident that we'll provide you with challenging yet rewarding development and career experiences that achieve real business impact, taking us and you forward, together.
At GrainCorp, you'll find a diverse range of people working together with a strong sense of purpose, potential and fulfillment. Our relationship-driven culture will develop you into a confident professional with broad and deep exposure to your chosen discipline and across our diverse operations. You will have the opportunity to build valued relationships that will establish a solid foundation to drive your career forward.
Our rotational program gives you breadth and depth of learning and career experiences, enabling you to master your craft and also to see firsthand how your work positively impacts our business, customers and community. Each stream has been created in consultation with the very best subject matter experts in our business and with a focus on where you'll land at the end of your program, ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow.
We know the transition from university to work can be daunting, so on commencement, we'll provide you with plenty of support to become familiar with our structure, team and culture. In your first week, you'll spend time with your fellow graduates from other streams in a comprehensive onboarding and induction program that includes stream-specific components. In addition to getting to know your peers, you'll meet and engage with leaders from across our business and most importantly, your dedicated buddy and mentor.
Our program includes targeted, intensive formal development designed to strengthen your soft skills and reinforce core behavioural competencies that will serve you well into the future, no matter where you go with us. Closer to completion, we'll work with you and your host business to help you transition to your first role.
The GrainCorp Graduate Program is offered every other year, with the next intake to commence in 2020.
In keeping with our vision to be a leading international agribusiness, it's critical that we look to the skills of the future needed to drive sustainable and profitable business growth. So right at this minute, we're taking a closer look at our graduate program to determine which skills - and streams - will best support us to achieve our vision and aspiration of being our customers' preferred supplier.
From time to time, GrainCorp may offer additional graduate opportunities to complement our program, and you'll see these published here, on our careers
pages and via our LinkedIn company page.
The duration and location of your program depends on the stream into which you enter. Generally, you can expect your program to run over a minimum 18 month period with at least some of your time spent at our Sydney office.
A suitable relocation package will be offered to candidates who are successful in securing a place in our program.
To be eligible for entry to our program, you'll need to:
We'll let you know if any additional, stream-specific criteria apply.

25 February - Applications open
05 April - Applications close
15 April - Telephone interviews
29 April - Online assessment
13 May - Formal interview + case study
03 June - Pre-hire checks
10 June - Offers made
After exploring our program streams, eligibility requirements and deciding on your area(s) of interest, you're ready to complete the initial online application form. We've designed our application form to be simple and targeted, taking only a few minutes to complete.
Once your application is reviewed, and if we feel there's a close match forming, you'll be invited to participate in a short telephone interview with our graduate recruitment team touching on a handful of targeted questions that will help us get to know you better.
If you've nailed your telephone interview, then we will invite you to complete a set of assessments (from the comfort of your home, of course). The assessment tools we use provide us with a valid and reliable measure of your interests, ability and potential - all critical factors in assessing your long-term fit for our program and business.
We look collectively at insights from your completed assessments, application and telephone interview to decide if you'll be shortlisted for a formal interview. If you've made it to this stage, then we'll invite you to meet face-to-face or by videoconference with program leaders giving us and you the opportunity to ask questions and ensure it's a great mutual fit.
To help us understand your critical thinking and problem-solving ability, your interview will include presentation on a targeted case study question. Don't worry as we'll give you a few days to prepare in advance of your interview date.
Having successfully completed your final interview and case study presentation, we'll ask you to provide the details of suitable referees and submit to background and medical checks before making you a formal offer.
Once we've reviewed all the information from your pre-hire checks and if it all looks good to go, then you can expect us to make an immediate verbal offer, with plenty of relevant information to help you make a considered decision whether to join us.
