Sam Tainsh

Group General Manager

Sam was appointed Group General Manager GrainCorp Oils in August 2012. He oversees the edible oils processing and terminals business across Australia, New Zealand and China. Sam has more than 18 years of experience in agri-business and commodity trading.

In 2001 he was appointed GrainCorp’s General Marketing Manager running domestic and international sales and trading activities. Before joining GrainCorp, Sam spent seven years as a commodity trader at Louis Dreyfus Corporation


Peter Shearman

General Manager - Commodity Management

Peter joined Gardner Smith in 1981 and successfully expanded its involvement in the vegetable oil trade in Australia and New Zealand, after which he relocated to the UK and Singapore. Here, as Executive Director, Peter was responsible for significant growth in turnover and profitability.

In 1997 Peter returned to Australia as Commercial Director and took responsibility for the Global Trading Group. In 2012 Peter helped in the acquisition and integration of the Oils business. Peter’s current role is GM Commodity Management, overseeing the Oilseed crush, import/export of vegetable oils, tallow and biofuels, and the Animal feeds businesses in Australia and New Zealand.


Doug Belavic

General Manager - Operations

Doug is results driven, with strong leadership skills, and has solid experience in fats and oils. Doug has spent the last 17 years working within the Oils business in various roles across the Operations, Logistics and Supply Chain.

Doug was appointed the Supply Chain and Operations Director for Goodman Fielder in 2007 and continues in this role. Doug now oversees all supply chain and operations for the Foods and Oilseeds business and is the lead for development of Project Delta.


Marcus Kennedy

General Manager - Strategy & Business Improvement

Marcus is responsible for the oversight, governance and delivery of the Oils strategy program and business improvement projects. A commercial executive with over 20 years of experience in B2B & B2C service sectors, Marcus joined GrainCorp in 2012 and led the integration team to create the new Oils business unit.

Prior to GrainCorp, Marcus was CEO of an entrepreneurial SME, was involved in the Suncorp-Promina merger strategy implementation, built a regional financial services business and led several business areas for Westpac.

Marcus brings broad experience in P&L management, operations and post-merger business transformation leadership across the agriculture, financial services and health sectors, in Australia and internationally. Marcus is passionate about customer service, implementing change to create ‘real’ value and developing people.


Anthony Cramery

General Manager - Health, Safety and Environment

Anthony has 24 years of experience across various industries in both the UK and Australia, including Health, Oils and Gas, and Food. Prior to joining GrainCorp, Anthony was the National OHS Manager for Re-start Consulting where he managed OHS professionals, outsourced RTW Coordinators, in-house physiotherapy services, pre-employment medicals, functional capacity assessments, hearing tests and OHS nursing services.

In 2010 Anthony joined the Oils business as National SH&E Manager for Goodman Fielder. With the integration of the Oils business, Anthony was promoted to General Manager HSE in October 2012.


Andrew Styzinski

General Manager - Liquid Terminals

Andrew has a wealth of experience in manufacturing and processing. He is a strategic thinker, with the ability to develop business from conception through to execution, a strong people leader and has demonstrated strong ability to execute.

Prior to joining GrainCorp Oils Andrew spent 4 years at Orica Speciality Chemicals as their Business Manager. In 2005 he joined Liquid Terminals as their National Operations Manager and was promoted to General Manager in 2008.


Mark Bosomworth

General Manager - GrainCorp Foods

Mark is a senior food and FMCG sales and marketing executive, with international background and grocery retail experience. Mark has been successful as Managing Director of a small European manufacturing business servicing the food service industry, after which he returned to foodservice sales and marketing roles before becoming General Manager of Fonterra’s specialty cheese business in New Zealand.

Mark has experience in blue-chip industries and is passionate about focusing on customers and product innovation. He was appointed General Manager GrainCorp Foods in 2014.


Steven Church

General Manager - Finance and IT

Steven is a senior finance professional with 17 years of experience, with a solid understanding of financial markets and global implications on business activities. Steven has worked in a variety of roles for Lion Nathan, Fonterra, Chargeurs and Goodman Fielder.

Prior to the acquisition and integration of the Oils business, Steven was Finance Director of Integro Foods and played a lead role in the divestment of Integro and then integration into GrainCorp. Steven moved into his role as General Manager Finance Oils in May 2013.
