ACCC Port Access Undertaking
Pursuant to the obligations of port terminal service providers under the bulk wheat export accreditation scheme established under the Wheat Export Marketing Act 2008 (Act), GrainCorp submitted to the ACCC an Undertaking for the provision of access to bulk wheat export terminals by individuals or organisations accredited by Wheat Exports Australia to legally export bulk wheat.
The ACCC accepted the Undertaking submitted by GrainCorp on 29th September 2009.
Undertaking to Provide Access to Grain Port Services
GrainCorp will provide port services to all accredited bulk wheat exporters for the export of bulk wheat from ports owned by GrainCorp at Mackay, Gladstone, Brisbane (Fisherman Islands), Newcastle (Carrington), Port Kembla, Geelong and Portland.
GrainCorp will provide accredited bulk wheat exporters details of terms and conditions of its port services that include:
- Process for nominating and acceptance of vessels
- Receival of wheat at a port
- Storage and handling of wheat at a port
- Ship loading services from a port
GrainCorp will make these terms and conditions available to accredited bulk wheat exporters, as amended from time to time, on the GrainCorp web site.
