Quality Assessment

Commodities can be analysed for test weight, moisture, protein, oil content, impurity content, defective grain counts and weed seed content. Quality assessment can also provide a classification of the sample provided according to specified receival standards. Growers and merchants use our assessment data to determine market price, marketing strategies and to check the accuracy of their own instruments for determining grain quality.

Tissue Testing

Analysis of cereal plant tissue using NIR techniques enables growers to determine nitrogen fertiliser input requirements during the early stages of crop growth.

Head Testing

Grain head testing in October, using NIR technology helps growers predict grain protein levels during the harvest period and therefore gives an indication of likely market returns.

Germination Testing

Growers use this service to determine the germination percentage of the grain they are using for sowing. Sowing rates can be adjusted accordingly to obtain optimum plant densities.
