Toowoomba Laboratory

Toowoomba provides the equipment and training for grain quality management for the receival, storage and outturn of grain from GrainCorp’s receival sites in Queensland. Toowoomba laboratory maintains, calibrates and offers technical support for all quality testing systems in the lab and at GrainCorp receival sites in the region.

Toowoomba’s focal point is wheat. The laboratory is equipped with a Buhler Test Mill, Flour Rheology Testing equipment and a Test Bakery. This allows the team to carry out detailed technical testing of flour and end products to assist in marketing the crop. This information supports buyers and customers in understanding the grain quality of Australian wheat.
