GrainCorp and Zen-Noh Grain Corporation, joint shareholders of GrainsConnect Canada (“GCC”), today announced they have entered into a definitive agreement to sell 100 per cent of GCC to Parrish & Heimbecker, Limited (P&H).
The transaction includes GCC’s four high-capacity elevators at Reford and Maymont, in Saskatchewan, and Huxley and Vegreville, in Alberta, as well as GCC’s 50 per cent interest in Fraser Grain Terminal (“FGT”).
This agreement follows a comprehensive strategic review by the GCC Board to ensure the business is best positioned for long-term strength and competitiveness.
The transfer of these high-quality assets to P&H, an organisation with deep roots in Western Canadian agriculture, will support stability and ongoing investment for growers, customers and employees.
P&H has a longstanding partnership with GCC and its shareholders through Fraser Grain Terminal and welcomes the acquisition as a natural next step in strengthening its service offering to Canadian growers.
The transaction is expected to close in early 2026, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Until that time, operations will continue as usual, with a strong focus on safety, service and supporting employees and growers through the transition.

“We are incredibly proud of the strong foundation our teams have built since the inception of the business.
“These facilities have served growers and customers with distinction.
“As GrainsConnect evolves, we recognised that a transition to P&H, a trusted partner with a shared commitment to the Prairies, is the best path forward for these assets and the communities they support.
“We are confident that P&H will provide the right environment for GCC to reach new heights.”
Quotes attributable to Director of GCC and Chief Operating Officer of GrainCorp, Klaus Pamminger:

Quotes attributable to CEO of P&H, John Heimbecker:
