Commentary:

  • Harvest is underway across the full east coast, with first deliveries in Victoria recorded last week to mark activity in all three states.
  • Queensland is now moving into peak activity, with our Thallon site in Southern Queensland receiving a record 18,000 tonnes in one day last week. Quality of chickpeas and wheat coming in are excellent.
  • Canola, barley and wheat receivals are coming in across NSW with quality holding up despite recent rain events.
  • In Victoria, deliveries of barley have commenced in the Mallee, with Central Victoria and the Wimmera expected to follow in the next fortnight.
  • GrainCorp encourages growers to stay in regular contact with their local Site Managers for the latest information regarding deliveries and segregations.
  • GrainCorp is still actively recruiting and training casual workers – for more information, visit https://www.graincorp.com.au/harvest-workers/
