A shared passion
Winners of GrainCorp’s 2024 Harvest Photo Competition announced
December 13, 2024

Snap to it 📸 The results are in! We’ve crowned the champions of the GrainCorp 2024 Harvest Photo Competition.

After a rigorous judging process, first, second and third place winners were selected from over 500 entries – marking the largest number of submissions the annual competition has ever received.

From the rugged coastline of Esperance, Western Australia, to Hamilton in Victoria’s south and as far north as Banana, Queensland, this year’s entries captured the spirit of harvest from each mainland state.

The judges were very impressed by the calibre of the entries this year and have crowned what they believe to be the true “cream of the crop”.

Winners

In 1st place, Rebecca Gosling from Poochera in South Australia captured her Pop checking the first load of barley they harvested this year.

Rebecca says she got lucky while flying her drone and happened to be in the right place at the right time – and our judges agree!

They loved the unique perspective this photo offers, plus the framing and composition of the shot make for a striking photograph – congratulations, Rebecca!

1st Place winner: Rebecca Gosling, Poochera SA

In 2nd place, Dhani Widya Prayogi captured harvest activity at dusk in Griffith, New South Wales.

Our judges couldn’t get enough of the lighting in this image, where an almost rust-like hue seeps across the entire field.

The symmetry of the headers in motion travelling in opposite directions adds another element of interest – well done, Dhani!

2nd Place winner: Dhani Widya Prayogi, Griffith NSW

In 3rd place, Charlotte Riminton in Scaddan, Western Australia captured a lovely father-daughter moment.

Our judges love to see the passing of farming knowledge from one generation to the next, and felt Charlotte’s photo depicts this perfectly – congratulations, Charlotte.

3rd Place winner: Charlotte Riminton, Scaddan WA

And finally, the judges would like to extend an honourable mention to Oli Pope of Yilgarn, WA.

They just loved this photo of “nature’s crop inspectors” – look closely! What a shot!
