Commentary:

  • Winter harvest activity is easing across Queensland and parts of northern NSW, with many growers now looking ahead to summer cropping opportunities. Decent rainfall has boosted prospects for growers particularly across southern Queensland and into the Moree, Narrabri and Werris Creek regions.
  • In NSW, receivals continued steadily across Central West NSW and further south in the Wyalong and Temora regions, although weekend rainfall has slowed progress in many areas. Warmer weather forecast over the coming days should help operations pick back up across the state.
  • In Victoria, all regions are now harvesting, with momentum building late last week before rain once again slowed progress. Activity is expected to increase steadily in the weeks ahead.
  • GrainCorp encourages growers to stay in regular contact with their local Site Managers for the latest updates on deliveries and segregations.
