Commentary:

  • Winter harvest activity is winding down in Central Queensland, while southern Queensland remains in full swing. Recent rainfall caused some short-term delays, but operations have picked up again as growers make the most of the clear weather conditions.
  • In northern NSW, deliveries of canola, barley and wheat ramped up across the region, particularly around the Moree and Burren Junction regions. Strong delivery volumes continued despite some intermittent rain delays.
  • In southern NSW, receivals are steadily increasing across the northern and western parts of the region, with the first loads of wheat delivered into the Parkes and Condobolin areas.
  • In Victoria, the first deliveries of wheat commenced in the northwest region, complementing early barley receivals from the Northern Mallee and Swan Hill regions.
  • Across southern NSW and Victoria, activity is expected to build steadily over the coming week, although forecasted rain may temporarily slow progress in some areas.
  • GrainCorp encourages growers to stay in regular contact with their local Site Managers for the latest updates on deliveries and segregations.
